This never used to happen but after a restore of Win 7 every time I boot up I get a screen asking me to sign onto Windows messenger. How do I get this to stop? Even when I click don't sign on it still remains minimized. It is not listed in my start-up folder. Help please... Bob

I too would like to know, though with Windows XP.

It tries to sign me in at start-up, and I never use it.

You posted this back in April, so maybe you've already figured this out,
but just in case: after Messenger starts up, go into "More options,"
click on the "Sign in" group, and one of the options there is "Start
Messenger when I log on to my computer." Uncheck that, and exit
Messenger. Next time, Messenger won't start on login.
